August 2026, International Drying Symposium, IDS’26 in Paris, France

The 24th edition of the International Drying Symposium (IDS 2026) is organized by Université Paris-Saclay, ranked 13th worldwide in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). Since its establishment in 1978, the IDS series has grown into a truly international forum for the drying community. Over nearly five decades, the symposium has been hosted in 17 countries across North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, bringing together researchers, engineers, and industry professionals from around the world.

Driven by a highly engaged and collaborative community spanning both academia and industry, each edition of IDS continues to advance the frontiers of drying science, engineering, and related technologies. IDS 2026 aims to bring together leading researchers, engineers, and industry experts in the inspiring academic environment of Université Paris-Saclay, providing a unique platform for scientific exchange, knowledge sharing, networking, and the development of new collaborations. 
 

August 27^th – Presentation at Université Paris-Saclay

Professor Wilhelm Schabel from KIT gave a talk at Université Paris-Saclay entitled:

“About Post-Drying in Porous Electrodes for Lithium-Ion Battery Production on a Micro- and Macro-Scale”

The work was presented by Wilhelm Schabel and co-authored by other members of the TFT Group: Philipp Barbig, Max Brand, Thilo Heckmann, and Philip Scharfer (pictured below).

Congratulations to all the organizers of IDS 2026 in Paris, and particularly to Professor Patrick Perré, Chairman of IDS 2026 (pictured), for organizing such an outstanding international event. Both the historic and the new campuses of Université Paris-Saclay, located just outside Paris, are truly remarkable and provide an impressive setting for the conference. They offer an inspiring academic environment, not only for the IDS community, but also for the researchers and students who study and work there every day.
